The water industry is a section of the laboratory automation industry that Labman has been a part of for many years now. We are specialists in incorporating water instruments/test methods into automated loading/testing systems.
Among some of our biggest successes are water industry related robots, including the Vitens Automated Water Laboratory. This system incorporated unique automated sample reception bottle sorting techniques along with completely un-aided sample testing of a single bottle across multiple analysis robots. Once all tests have been completed on each bottle they are marshalled into either a retest buffer or taken to a waste room where they are crushed ready for recycling! (without forgetting to remove valuable re-usable caps first!).
Our water analysis systems are so successful due to our willingness to ensure we incorporate every aspect of our customers current manual processes (i.e. don't re-invent the wheel). This way of working both ensures that the process that each sample goes through matching a proven manual method as long as ensuring that the customers requirements are maintained at all times.
