Waters LCMS Management Suite
Labman are pleased to introduce the latest in MassLynx monitoring software for the Waters ZMD/ZQ LC-MS system.
With the cost of synthesis and subsequent purification of a compound easily exceeding each every sample lost due to problems in an LCMS system is time and money literally down the solvent drain.
The mission critical nature of LCMS analysis means that knowing the status of your system is vital wherever you are. The new Labman LCMS management suite offers user friendly remote monitoring functionality to what is usually a time consuming and troublesome process. Initially designed for use with our automated HPLC/MS reformatting system but has now been developed and is available for standalone use. This groundbreaking new package features the following functionallity;
- The Labman LCMS Management suite allows for sample by sample monitoring of process parameters such as solvent volumes and column status to keep the user updated and to ensure that MS runtime is maximised.
- The Labman LCMS Management suite takes column regeneration to a new level. Sample by sample monitoring of fraction parameters and the modules status ensure that when problems are encountered with a column, the problem column is shutdown and processing is continued through a backup column.
- With the Labman LCMS Management suite remote monitoring of your LCMS is available while in or away from the lab. The LCMS Management suite can relay the status of the MS system to anywhere on your LAN. Gone home for the night but worried that an error in your MS may loose you a plate worth of samples? Rest easy.. the LCMS Management suite will SMS text your mobile phone if it has problems and will shut the system down if a showstopping error occurs.
- Problems with the MS losing resolution, makeup pump failing, line blockages, column failures, injector blockages and solvent shortages will be handled and the MS put into a safe mode whenever the system cannot be recovered.
- Periodic column QC check and sample counting through each column in the system allows the pre-emptive replacement of columns before samples are lost.
- If you have a particular problem with your MS such as repetitive injector blockages or injector/collector stalling send us your problem and equipment setup details and we'll help you solve it.
- The suite is currently available for use on Waters ZMD and ZQ MS purification systems running masslynx 3.5 or higher. Further applications are always in development so watch this space or contact us with your requirements.
