Joint BioEnergy Institute (SANDIA National Laboratories) Biomass Preparation system
Building on the experience of supplying biomass preparation systems to GLBRC at MSU and cryogenic systems to Max Plank Institute and Leibnitz Institute
Labman has manufactured a system for
JEBI based in California. The system has the functionality to grind and subsequently dispense biomass.
Operators load the system with biomass in either 2ml or 20 ml input vials and then dispense the ground powder to 2ml vials, well plates or vial blocks.
The system has extra functionality for ratio metrically dispensing liquid to each sample ready for downstream processing.
Powder dispensed into 2ml vials can be capped for archive storage.
Main Features
- Grinding of sample in 2ml or 20ml vials

- Powder dispensing: 1mg - 100mg +- 0.3mg
- Replication, sequential and manual mapping modes
- Liquid addition
- Integration with LIMS system
- Vial capping for sample archive
