Vial Weighing System

Labman installed a small weighing system in Siena, Italy in 2006. The system weighs either Micronic vials or Wheaton vials to 5 decimal places. A rotating table and 1D barcode reader are used to identify the Wheaton vials. Micronic tubes are identified using a 2D barcode on their base. The system has capacity for 9 blocks of 96 Micronic vials or 9 blocks of 24 Wheaton vials. The cycle time for this system is 20 seconds per vial. All weight and barcode data is outputted to a CSV file for integration with a LIMS system.
