Company Profile

Labman is now over 25 years old, and we have been developing bespoke robotics, laboratory automation equipment, software and electronic solutions for worldwide customers throughout this period. We have installations in most of Europe and work as far away as Malaysia, the US, Australia and we even have a robot in the Arctic Circle!

The building

We have a custom designed factory based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, UK with an entirely open plan layout. This provides us with the ability to take on projects of hugely varying size and complexity such as our most recent large project, an Automated Water Laboratory for Vitens in the Netherlands. This open plan theology allows for an open and honest working environment throughout Labman.

Workforce

We pride ourselves on our ability to embrace new technology continually, and ensure that money is provided allowing our staff to buy in and implement (or play!) with all things new and improved. A young, dynamic, motivated, and above all else flexible workforce provide Labman with the skills needed to take on the kind of projects we are continually completing.

Workshop

Our factory includes a fully equipped workshop, meaning that very little work is ever subcontracted. This allows us to design, build, prototype, and make all parts within our four walls and ensure that the skills are retained within our workforce. We actively encourage all staff to develop a range of skills and participate in all projects, thereby ensuring plentiful concepts and ideas are developed, and that we can then rely on many individuals to work on any project should we need to.

Technology

Other such features of our work are state of the art CAD systems for rapid and precise development, a wireless network allowing instant access anywhere in the building, continued use of Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS, and other such technologies, all types of drive systems (e.g. 3 phase, stepper, servo, DC) and the latest software frameworks (such as Microsoft .NET).

CE Testing

Labman ensure that each piece of robotic equipment that leaves our factory is full tested and undergoes a full CE and EMC check.
