Who are Labman?
We design, create and rethink automation for a huge variety of clients across the world. The last year has seen Labman grow rapidly to become one of the most exciting and innovative advanced engineering firms in the UK. Our team has grown to over 65 within the last twelve months, and with the confirmation of some of the largest orders we have ever received, Labman is continuing to grow rapidly. We need more talented, engaged engineers now to drive this expansion forward.
How does Labman work?
Labman is far from your ordinary engineering company. Forget cubicles, suits and hierarchies, Labman encourages openness, out-of-the-box thinking, and creativity in every area of the business. Clients approach Labman and challenge us to invent an automated solution to suit their particular need. This could be as simple as a weighing system or as complex as a bumble-bee flight simulator (which we’ve made!). From blue chip companies across the globe to local craftspeople, Labman has a long history of blazing a trail in automation.
We operate from our amazing countryside location in North Yorkshire, just a few miles from the breath-taking North York moors, and the stunning coastline of the North East. Our custom-built HQ houses everything from a climbing wall, to a go-kart track, and even a squash court (part of our huge new building extension). Fun is very actively encouraged – where else are all the innovative ideas going to come from? And innovation is at the heart of what Labman is all about – we solve problems and create systems that transform processes and products in almost every industry.

We are renowned for producing extremely innovative and reliable automated systems, so we need people who can consistently deliver this high standard. We want people that love the work they do, and can do it very well, but who can also bring something unique and special to our team. How do you get involved?
If this sounds like a dream job to you, it’s time to apply! We operate a range of training schemes from apprenticeships and work experience, to university placements and graduate fast-tracks.
