Bratwurst and barely believable talent - Sausagefest 2025

An evening of inspirational speeches, plenty of bratwurst and a descent into gloriously questionable cabaret chaos. It can only mean one thing; Labman’s Christmas party.

Last week Labman truly raised the bar(becue) at our annual Christmas Party - Sausagefest (the wurst-kept secret of the events calendar!).

We kicked things off with an absolute banger of a speech from our MD, Ian Riley: thoughtful, inspiring, and delivered with just a seasoning of humour. From there, things took a sharp turn from polished to perfectly unhinged as we rolled straight into a cabaret of… let’s say… enthusiastically talented individuals.

Highlights included an heroic but far from successful attempt to eat 7 hot-dogs in 1 minute - the scenes left us questioning our life choices. There was some nose-based engineering; the balancing of assorted items including a chair and a pool cue on the nose of Ben (health & safety are still asking questions). There was a high-steaks Rubik’s-cube-off, various comedy singalongs and so much more.

All in all, it was a night full of meat-ing expectations, questionable life skills, and memories that will linger longer than the smell of grilled bratwurst. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it such a sizzling success - Same time next year? We’re relishing it already.
