We’re proud to share that Labman was honoured with not just one, but two prestigious accolades at the 2025 Tees Tech Awards: Tech for Good and Business of the Year. These awards celebrate innovation, excellence, and impact across the Tees Valley technology community—and to be recognised in both categories is an incredible milestone for us.

Representing Labman at the event, held at the beautiful Pavilion at Kirkleatham Walled Garden, were Joy Plowman and Matthew Watson. The evening brought together some of the most inspiring technology businesses in the region, making the recognition even more meaningful.

The Tech for Good award is particularly close to our hearts. This category celebrates companies whose innovations are changing lives and improving the world around us. Our win highlights our collaboration with TMRW Life Sciences on the CryoRobot Select—an advanced automation solution that is transforming IVF specimen management. By ensuring the safe, consistent, and reliable storage and retrieval of eggs and embryos, the CryoRobot Select is helping fertility clinics operate with greater precision, security, and care.

Winning Business of the Year was a completely unexpected and deeply humbling moment. The category acknowledges outstanding digital innovation, performance, and growth—an area we’ve worked hard on over the past year. Joy shared her reaction:

"We’re astonished – we weren’t expecting this at all. To be nominated against such incredible companies and then to win Business of the Year is such an honour. We’re so passionate about the area, creating jobs and opportunities and enriching everything we can for it, so to be recognised for that is just fantastic."

A heartfelt thank you to the Tees Tech Awards team, the judges, and the vibrant local community that we’re so proud to be part of. It’s a privilege to work alongside such forward-thinking companies, including our fellow finalists Tanglewood Games, Cloewood Digital, Home Hub, and Salvify. A special thanks as well to our neighbours Applied Integration for sponsoring the event, and to Plastic Processing Ltd.

We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of innovation and automation—always with the goal of doing good, supporting our region, and driving meaningful impact.
