MDI SHOT WEIGHING SYSTEM
A system designed to pneumatically fire Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) canisters to obtain the shot weight.
The MDI Shot Weighing System is fully enclosed and floor standing with a footprint of 1200mm x 1000mm. The system is manually loaded with canister racks at the start of a run. The system picks canisters from a rack, performs a pre-weigh step, shakes them radially at a user selected angle and speed, fires the canister via a firing station and reweighs to obtain the canister shot weight. This sequence can be repeated for a user specified number of cycles.
It allows testing of up to 100 canisters per run. It handles two variants of canisters (19ml & 14ml), only one canister type can be tested per run. Canister weight, run parameters and audit logs are saved locally to the system and safeguarded using the Labman Camelot 21 CFR part 11 software plugin.
