Overview
The base paint dispensing system automates the process of dispensing paint from a 20 litre barrel into either 250ml or 500ml QC tins. These tins are then lidded and sealed by two separate modules within the system. Each tin is weighed to ensure that the exact amount of paint is dispensed before lidding. The system is capable of dispensing into 24 QC tins loaded onto a carousel that is mounted on the robot bed. A pressure vessel is also used for more viscous paint, to help maintain a high throughput; 5 litre barrels can be used in this instance.
